Eating in Milan
Risotto alla milanese is yellow because it is made with saffron. Cotolette are steaks, breaded and then fried. Then there is panettone, the cake served at Christmas. You have already tried all the traditional foods of Milan? Then you have to dedicate yourself to something new. Like finding your favorite place for a Friday evening aperitivo, and the one for Sunday brunch. And maybe even the bookstore with the little café with pastries for an afternoon snack. Not to mention the ethnic restaurants, the hamburger bars. Ah, and the pizzerias.

Getting around Milan
In Milan the pace is quick. Unless you are in via Torino on Saturday afternoon. But if you are tired of walking, you can always take a bus, a tram, or the Metro. The trolley-buses on the ring road are active all night, but maybe you’d prefer a taxi. Or Uber. If you feel like driving, there is car sharing, and when the weather is nice, you can pedal, because with BikeMi even the bikes are shared. A trip out of the city? From Central Station, the trains go everywhere.

Enjoying Milan
What are you looking for? You will find it. Yes, even the littlest bar in the world that only three people can enter at a time. If you are all wound up, let off some steam on the dance floor. Concerts are your daily bread? Milan is a stop for great international bands. Or if you prefer, you can join in on a jam session and improvise. When you feel like sitting for a while and chatting with friends, choose the area that is made for you: Lambrate for beer, Porta Romana for drinks, in Navigli you can have a cocktail, and then have a short walk and end up directly in the disco. The only rule is get out of your house: life in Milan is all outdoors.

From the historical Renaissance churches to the most famous galleries, you only need to decide where to start. There’s the sun? Enjoy it in the piazza of Palazzo Pitti. Then take in Florentine life in Piazza Santo Spirito. For the obligatory photo opp, Piazza della Signoria is waiting for you.

Eating in Florence
A plate of cured meats and cheeses to start. Then ribollita or pappa col pomodoro. The obligatory fiorentina. Chianti to go with it and a schiacciata to finish it all off. Did that make you hungry? Florence has something for everyone. And once you have tried all the traditional flavors, go to the ethnic places: from Armenian to Vietnamese, then Russian and Japanese. Or how about a nice pizza? You can never go wrong with that.

Getting about Florence
Florence is a city made for walking. The most important monuments and attractions are all reachable on foot. For longer distances or for tired legs, however, there is public transport: buses, trams and “treni cittadini” (tram-trains). There are not many night buses, but at all hours you can find taxis and car sharing.

Enjoying Florence
If by day it is the city of art and culture, at night Florence changes its appearance. For all of your stay you will be able to try different places to have an aperitivo on the Lungarno or a cocktail after dinner in the center. If you are a lover of evenings with beer and friends, you will find that there are just too many pubs to choose from. The group wants to go dancing? Every disco has its own style and kind of music, it’s hard not to find the right one for you. Otherwise, live concerts are the order of the day: emerging groups or international bands love to stop in the city. Well, ready to go out?

Incastonata tra tre laghi, Mantova è un gioiello nascosto del nord Italia, Patrimonio Unesco dal 2008. Una città a misura d’uomo, da godersi a passo lento e col naso all’insù per ammirarne l’architettura rinascimentale e apprezzare i profumi della sua tavola. Il profilo delle cupole e delle torri d’epoca comunale è il biglietto da visita con cui la città sorprende chi la raggiunge dal lato nord. Il centro storico è un’oasi di arte, circondata dall’acqua del fiume Mincio che abbraccia la città. Dal Castello di San Giorgio fino a Palazzo Te, passando per la basilica di Sant’Andrea e il museo di Palazzo Ducale, cultura e natura si intrecciano e si contaminano: perdersi tra i sentieri del lungolago rigenera le forze e riconcilia con la tranquillità di una cittadina piccola nelle dimensioni, ma grande nel fascino.

Mangiare a Mantova
Anche per quanto riguarda l’enogastronomia Mantova mette le sue radici nel suo periodo d’oro: l’epoca dei Gonzaga. Proprio qui, nella corte rinascimentale dei Gonzaga, nasce il noto detto ‘Mantova: cucina di principi e di popoli’. Partendo dal fatto che Mantova è una città agricola, le pietanze tipiche sono tute contaminate dalla tradizione rustica: Risotto alla pilota, Tortelli di Zucca, Agnolini in brodo, Maccheroncini con lo stracotto, Luccio in salsa, Cotechino e non dimentichiamoci del noto ‘salame mantovano’! Anche i dolci non mancano: Sbrisolona, Elvezia, Anello di Monaco, Torta delle rose. A Mantova si possono trovare numerosissime trattorie in pieno centro storico, ma anche tantissimi forni in cui poter assaggiare al volo con un buon bicchiere di Lambrusco piccole porzioni di tipicità!

Muoversi a Mantova
Mantova è una città a passo d’uomo. Il centro storico e le sue maggiori attrazioni sono tutti raggiungibili a piedi; ma non solo! Ricca di ciclabili e di zone pedonali, Mantova è nota per essere amica della bicicletta: non è raro vedere turisti e visitatori sceglierla come mezzo per spostarsi. Per chi predilige mezzi di trasporto pubblico è possibile usufruire della navetta – anche chiamata circolare cc – per raggiungere gli spot centrali o autobus per le zone periferiche. Non dimentichiamoci che è possibile usufruire del servizio taxi.

Divertirsi a Mantova
La vita notturna nel cuore della città è caratterizzata principalmente da eventi musicali che si tengono soprattutto d’estate, eventi teatrali, e da uscite in compagnia in ristoranti, pub e bar che raccolgono molti giovani di Mantova. Appena fuori dalla città è possibile divertirsi in varie fiere locali dedicate al cibo, spalmate su vari mesi dell’anno. La tipicità di Mantova si racchiude in una frase ‘Andiamo a far le vasche?’: camminare per il centro, bere un bicchiere di vino, incontrare per le vie amici e conoscenti!

Mangiare a Torino
Al caffè Mulassano potrai gustare un tramezzino nel luogo in cui nel vennero creati nel lontano 1926. Potrai sorseggiare la bevanda tipica piemontese, il Bicerin, nell’omonimo locale: si tratta di soli tre ingredienti – caffè, cioccolato fondente e crema di latte. Poi c’è il gianduiotto, tipico cioccolatino sabaudo.
Hai già provato tutte le tipicità di Torino? Allora devi dedicarti a qualcosa di nuovo. Come a trovare il tuo locale preferito per l’aperitivo del venerdì, e quello per il brunch della domenica. E magari anche la libreria con annessi caffè e pasticcini per la merenda. Senza tralasciare i molteplici ristoranti etnici, le piole tipiche. Per non dimenticare le pizzerie!

Muoversi a Torino
A Torino si passeggia lentamente per ammirare le splendide architetture e palazzi dell’art decò. Se sei stanco di camminare puoi sempre prendere un bus, un tram, o la metro. Per girare liberamente la sera puoi utilizzare il servizio di trasporti notturni chiamato Night Buster, magari preferirai un taxi oppure uno Uber. Se ti va di guidare c’è il car sharing, e se col bel tempo vuoi pedalare, anche le bici sono in condivisione, si chiamano Ridemovi. Oppure puoi anche prendere un monopattico elettrico! Una gita fuori porta? Dalla stazione di Porta Nuova, i treni arrivano e ti portano ovunque.

Divertirsi a Torino
Torino la sera si trasforma: bar e locali pieni di gente, Piazza Vittorio è il ritrovo dei giovani. Il quartiere più ambito per le feste è il Quadrilatero. Se siete amanti della musica allora il Jazz Club è il posto che fa a caso vostro! Quando ti va di stare seduto a chiacchierare con gli amici, scegli il quartiere che fa per te: i drink sono in Santa Giulia, San Salvario è per la birra per poi fare quattro passi e finire direttamente in discoteca. L’unica regola è uscire di casa: la vita torinese è tutta fuori.
